I had no idea what to expect as this was my first time purchasing all new windows. It is a major upgrade. As I sat through each sales pitch and received the corresponding quote, it became very clear to me that I had happened upon the best source right out the gate: It was definitively United Builders.

There are several windows on the market, and Rick recommended his preferred brand; he was able to articulate his reasons (all of them logical). He was willing to go with any other type we chose. We elected to go with his recommended vinyl dual pane Anlin brand with argon gas. As promised, I got several calls to coordinate inspection, delivery and the install. Everything happened right on time. His installers were professional, courteous and of good character. They respected our home in every way. Our house looks wonderful and the acoustic value and energy efficiency were noticeable immediately! Our neighbors have been asking about our experience and all I can say is that when it is their time to make the upgrade, whether first or last, just make sure they get a quote from United Builders. They will make it happen. United Builders is one of those rare companies that provide a stellar service at an honest price. They are not gouging their customers and were literally 45% cheaper than Home Depot – and they provided a product superior to what Home Depot offers.

I had 14 windows of various sizes installed – (the whole house). I read the negative reviews posted on here …. and I’m thinking …. where are they coming from? Trolls? Out of 44 ratings – 41 are 5/5 star reviews.

That does not make sense. Especially the one from the woman in Glendale Ca. (Annie) Is she an ex girlfriend or is she out of “medication”? lol. Then the one about being sued (JB) by United Builders because he wouldn’t return phone calls after posting a bad review …. give me a break! Does that guy think we are mentally challenged? Probably had windows installed, then wouldn’t pay. But – I believe that credit should be given where credit is due. One of these 5/5 star reviews – I just found out – came from an actual friend of mine, so I know these are not just “made up”. If you want new windows installed, give this company a call. It will worth your while – it was for me.

A year later we were ready to do another round of windows and luckily I came across United Builders just as I was about to sign with AVW again.

I’m so glad I used United Builders. Rick is the owner and does all the estimates himself. Since he’s the owner, he’s been able to cut out the middle man, the salesman, and give you a better price for the same product. Rick is an honest and good person. He cares about his customers and always provides a positive experience from estimate to installation. He is trustworthy and I highly recommend him. Many neighbors have used him from my recommendation and they have all been just as satisfied as me.

The other half spoke to me as if I was incapable to understating the concept of replacement windows; one even questioned my ability to afford the windows.

I reached out to an industry professional who recommended United Builders and Rick. Who I said, never heard of them and so started my barrage of questions. Finally after a detailed conversions; i began to research Rick and his outfit. I called Rick and he was open and informative, I asked him baited questions (cause by now i was a replacement window expert with in-depth knowledge of the Anlin product). He was clear, informative and HONEST ……… He was truly the first person I felt comfortable with to invite him to come to my home and give an estimate.When Rick arrived he was pleasant and approachable (however I think it was more to do with his accent), he went through his presentation and explained the benefits of his organization and the product he installs. Now it all sounded to good to be true but my gut was comfortable so onward we went. He did a measurement of my windows and doors (43 windows and 3 sliders) and gave me an estimate. If I was not sitting I may have fallen over in shock …. What an amazing price; at least 20% cheaper then the so called volume discounters out there. But now off went my spidey senses; tingling all over. What comers does he cut to make this possible. NONE as I later found out. After the estimate he makes sure I have no more questions and off he goes. I sit on the estimate to see when he gets desperate enough to call and push for a contract; he doesn’t. Finally I call because I could not stand the suspense. Now he seems to do a lot of estimates so when I called and he remembers my name I was surprised. We speak a little more and I finally tell him that I am ready and we set a time. He comes over as arranged and we sign the papers; NO PRESSURE TACTICS, NO UP-SELL just a very friendly and comfortable experience. Finally the windows arrive accompanied by 5 guys .. They start to prep the house with protective cloth and start to remove the old windows. Their workmanship and expertise is evident from the beginning. Over the next four days these five guys worked in the most professional manner and always ready to answer questions. All my windows became a custom install as I had window frames on all four sides so they had to measure, cut, modify and trim each window before they went in ….. NO EXTRA CHARGES … I have nothing but respect for this guys and Rick; in fact everything they promised they delivered to my utmost (sometimes unreasonable) expectations. Sure I spent a small fortune but their is no another business or a team of guys I would rather have trusted my home to. After four days my home looks amazing, even in this heatwave the house feels cooler. His honesty, cander and a real need to provide the best service is clear; for the skeptics out there what you see and hear from him is REALLY what you get. If you don’t experience a meeting with this man then you are really missing out. His prices are amazing, his service outstanding and his installers just plain amazing. I have no hesitation is fully backing United Builders with my endorsement; they really standby their service and products and will not sell you anything you do not need. My brother in law saw their work and had Rick submit a proposal; he was so impressed with the work that they did for me and by Rick’s simple no nonsense approach that he signed the contract on the spot; he is now patiently waiting fro his 35 windows too. We all can and do make mistakes but Rick and his team really take every precaution to make sure they avoid as many as possible but will certainly make sure they correct what they miss. These guys did an amazing job and Rick and his team gave me an outstanding experience and value for money. Rick I wish you and your team the very best success, your work speaks volumes and your honesty and integrity truly define you. Very happy to have met you and to have done business with you and your amazing install team …. Yelpers; I apologize for this long review but I wanted to make sure I didn’t leave anything out.

(18 windows and sliding glass door done in just over one day); all for what I thought was the best price and quality after five different quotes, both local and larger distributors

We replaced all thin aluminum dual panes windows (which just popped out, were not even fastened to wall so security just improved too) plus sliding glass door. Energy efficient is clear improvement. General web research estimates 30% efficiency improvement for windows and am guessing that is about right, maybe better in our case. The difference between glass temperature and walls improved from 5-7 deg to 1-2deg; and on sliding glass door the glass temp is same as the wall temp, which kinda shocked me how good that is. We used to freeze just sitting in front of that door and now it’s even temp and much less heater use, looking forward to much improved energy bills. Also lifetime warranty on windows.

As to noise, we live near the freeway. Our house is also a two-story house so the upstairs in summers is always hot. You may ask, what does this have to do with windows … a lot.

This year we decided the time was financially right for us to purchase new windows, and thus we began our research. We initially contacted other vendors, but the price point in relation to the quality of the windows they provided felt too high. We finally found Rick, the owner of United Builders through the Next Door website. We were surprised how many neighbors had purchased windows with him. We reached out to him. He was exceptionally accessible and he was easy to arrange to meet with us. In meeting with him, he went over his product and we were pleasantly surprised with the quote he provided. We went with it and it turned out to be a great choice. The entire process of having our windows replaced was well coordinated. First, his representative (Lazaro) came out to our place to take all measurements. He was great because he provided excellent recommendations on how to have windows open in order to maximize ventilation throughout our home. He was professional and courteous. Then came the installation. We were thoroughly impressed. The crew of five installers were exceptionally efficient, took great care in moving blinds, furniture and in covering areas of the floor where heavier work had to be applied such as the removal and replacement of the sliding door. The only hiccup was that two windows arrived broken due to moving while being delivered to our home. We easily were able to contact Rick and he explained how they would go about fixing the matter. True to his word, the two broken windows were replaced within three days. After all the windows were installed, the installers swept all debris, reinstalled all the blinds, placed all furniture back and in truth left everything as it was before they arrived. In addition, they were courteous and respectful while working in our home. After all windows were installed, a thorough walk through was done for all windows. Ariel, the installer wanted to ensure that we were happy. Mind you, this was 19 windows and one sliding door we purchased, and for him to go through each one was appreciated. Classy and professional! That night we immediately felt the effects of the new windows. Most immediately, no more freeway noise at night! Secondly, within the week we noticed the home not heating up so much with a more consistent temperature throughout the entire house and not just in certain pockets. Aesthetically, the windows look sharp. No smudges or sloppy work on the seals and borders of the windows. It was truly nice work on the installations. And the windows allow a real nice clear light in the home. It’s noticeable. If you are like us, wanting to upgrade but with concerns on finding the right windows and installers, we highly recommend Rick and his company. He was true to his word in that all aspects of the installation and the product would be to our liking. We feel somewhat relieved to have had this job done well and that we have a product that is reliable and already contributing to the comfort and efficiency of our home.

(His company rates 5 stars on nearly 400 reviews on home advisor; a source whereby ONLY CUSTOMERS, can have a say about Rick, his product, and install which is phenomenal and tells you everything about him and his company; Yelp permits anyone to post a review, and even so, he still has almost 4.5 stars as well, on nearly 100 reviews) His knowledge and understanding of his competitors, was amazing, and after listening to him, it was clear to me who was selling products that were less of a window for a very high and greedy price. My homework was done after hearing Rick out, as he displayed the Anlin Window in person to me and unveiled it’s double lifetime warranty that proved the window’s quality upfront. The only thing I did not know was how Rick’s install quality would be. Rick gave me a price to install 22 windows and a sliding glass door, and I could not believe his offer compared to his competitors. I saved so much money! After signing, Rick showed nothing but professional and excellent, on-time communication and work ethic. His crew was astounding, as they came in, and within 1 day installed all 22 windows and sliding glass door. Being a perfectionist, I scrupulously observed and supervised the men and their work. They were very focused, and there were no games whatsoever. Anything I asked or mentioned was tended to right away. Their cleanliness was superb and the final product was breathtaking. Since the install, rain and high winds have come, and the windows have proved themselves perfectly. Overwhelmed with my experience and filled with joy, I thought I would share this experience with others. I thank the good Lord for being so highly blessed with an excellent owner and company. If you are considering retro-fit windows, I am not here to tell you who to go with or what windows to get, but I am hear to “AT THE VERY LEAST”, make sure Rick is heard before making your selection. -Rick was punctual, knew his stuff,. and was apt and ready to provide written documentation backing up his statements. His recommendation was Anlin windows, without boring with too many details, when you do your research on them look for two things:”

1. Try contacting them, you’ll find them to be much more responsive than similar competitors.

2. There are many reviews of them honoring their amazing warranty. I found a great example about a seal broken between the panes 15 or 18 years later, replaced at no cost.

-Windows arrived in the time frame promised and they installed a slider and well over 10 windows in 5 or so hours with a large team.

-All team members were friendly and very helpful at all times. I was happy with each and every one of them, unfortunately the only names I can recall at this time are Martin and Junior.

-Their scheduler was very on the ball and if anything came up she kept me well informed.

-After they finished the install the only remaining touch up items were scheduled quickly and taken care of with minimal effort on my part (United Builders was the best company I’ve dealt with at home with follow-up after they’ve been paid). I’ve been told that I can be a bit of a perfectionist and press minor things. There was at least one thing I think I was a little too nitpicky on but they never once treated me in any way other than it was a serious thing and they were on it.
